Step 1: Visit the Helio Website

Go to our website using your preferred web browser.

Step 2: Explore Product Information

Take some time to explore our website and familiarize yourself with the information about our product. You can learn about our pricing system, use our calculator, and find details about the different render engines and supported plugins.

Step 3: Sign up for an Account

Once the Helio client is installed, open it and sign up for an account. You can do this directly from the client or by clicking on our website's "TRY FOR FREE" button. Provide your first name, last name, and email address; don't forget to choose a secure password.

Step 4: Confirm Your Email Address

After signing up, you will receive an email to confirm your address. Check your inbox and click on the confirmation link provided in the email. This step verifies your account and ensures you have access to all Helio features.

Step 5: Download the Helio Render Client

Click on the "Render Client" option on our website. This will lead you to the download page for our client software. Download the client and follow the installation instructions to set it up on your computer. Login in to your account with the same credentials.

Step 6: Select Your Render Job Submission Method.

After confirming your email, open the Helio client and log in with your credentials. You'll be directed to your dashboard. To add your first project, you can do this via multiple options.

  1. Manual project archive.

    1. Collect all your project assets and make sure everything required for rendering is in a single folder.

  2. Submit with the Helio Plugin

    1. For 3ds max or Blender.

    2. Submit the scene with a few clicks to Helio.

  3. Submit with Pulze Scene Manager.

    1. Submit the scene with a few clicks to Helio.

We recommend options 2 and 3.

Step 7: Add the Project

  1. In the Helio client, click on the "Add Project" button.

    1. If you submit from a plugin (helio or pulze) this will be opened automatically.

  2. Select/confirm the Render Engine and version you're using.

  3. Provide a name for your project.

  4. Choose the path to your project folder where you collected your assets.

  5. Optionally, you can add an exclude rule to avoid syncing specific files into the cloud.

  6. Review your project details and click "Add Project" to start syncing your files to the cloud storage.

Step 8: Start Your Render

Before starting the render, you can get a price and rendering time estimation. You can choose speed over pricing or vice versa, depending on your needs. Enter the frame render time and scene opening time on your machine, or render a test frame and enter the time it took. Once you're ready, follow these steps:

  1. Select your scene file in the Helio client.

  2. Specify the frame duration and set any necessary limits to control costs.

  3. Customize your scene settings if needed.

  4. Define the file name, format, and output folder for your rendered results.

  5. Choose between starting the render or creating a preview to check your scene quickly.

Step 8: Monitor Your Render Progress

After starting the render, you can monitor its progress on your project page in the Helio client. Keep the client open to automatically download the rendered frames as they become available. If any frames are missing, you can click "Download" again to save them in your specified folder.

Step 9: Get Support if Needed

If you have any questions or encounter any issues during the rendering process, don't hesitate to contact us. You can reach out to our support team through our support chat on our website. We're here to assist you and ensure a smooth experience with Helio.
