Chaos License Server Upgrade

For continued licensing of Corona and Vray, it is necessary to upgrade the Chaos license server to the latest version.

This often comes with software updates on Corona Renderer's side; we recommend our customer the following process:

Corona 12

For optimal compatibility and performance, we recommend using Corona 12, hotfix 1 (Aug 08, 2024). Download here.

Based on customer feedback and forum experiences, the Corona 12 version 1 (November 2024) and its associated hotfix1 (Jan 21, 2025) have shown significant issues related to both performance and compatibility.

To ensure uninterrupted access and functioning, we advise you to upgrade the license server only.

Please note that upgrading the license server is a crucial step to continue working with the most recent features.

Corona 11 and Earlier

If you're using Corona 11 or earlier, make sure to upgrade the license server as recommended by Chaos. These updates are essential, and you can continue using the latest versions without any known issues for cloud rendering.

3Ds Max scene file and Corona 12 rollbacks

Before upgrading, we strongly recommend backing up all current project files. Please keep in mind that rolling back to previous versions, whether minor or major, is typically not possible.
